Studio Policies

1. Communication:

Yes, we would definitely be friends- I love a good chat- however, if we want this to be truly effective (unexpectedly taking notes while driving never works), it’s best to call: Tuesday-Thursday, 1:30-3:30pm and Monday and Wednesday 7-9:30pm.  *If these times don’t work, let’s make another appointment. I’m flexible!

2.  Pre-Session Consultation.

Let’s get to know each other! I want to make sure that the goals you have for your photographs are going to be met. What are you looking to capture? I prefer to meet in person, but I can see your shining face on Skype, or imagine your shining face on the phone if you’re a busy bee. We’ll hash out the details, get the initial awkwardness of meeting someone new out of the way and the rest is easy breezy.

3.  Photo Sessions.

While most of our free time is on the weekends, sometimes the weekends don’t work out best. You know how it is, family, soccer or softball tournaments or dinner with the in-laws.  Sessions are available on Tuesday and Thursday’s at 9am and 1pm.  Or Sunday’s by appointment only.

4.  Session Fee and Payment.

In order to hold your session date and time, 50% of the session fee is due at the time you book your session along with a signed contract.  Balance is due five (5) days before your session.    If you must reschedule please provide at least 24 hours notice.     Session fees can be paid by credit card or PayPal.

5.  In person sales meeting after the photo session.

This is when you’ll see the images that I captured of  you and when you’ll place your order for products.  Everyone has their own idea of what they want from their photos, so make sure all the final decision makers are present here. After we meet in person, your photos will be available to view online for 90 days. Viewing sessions are available on Wednesday and Friday’s.

6.  Style of photography.

Beauty, glamour and self-love.  Natural and studio lighting, organic, authentic moments. I capture YOU at my residential studio.

7.  Type of photography.

I paint with light. I use natural light, studio strobes and off camera flash. I also shoot film images along with digital images. (Yep, you read that right. Film. Old School.)

8.  Old School Film Baby!

I am a hybrid shooter, which means that use film and digital cameras.  If I shoot film, your images will be digital images.  So don’t sweat it.  Film has advanced, but it’s prettier than plain old digital.  I shoot digital too, I’m just as JPEG happy as the next gal! (Image below is film).
